Gambia has made me see things in perspective. The country made me reflect on my busy day-today life, in an environment of a much slower pace. People really enjoy life under poor conditions which was sometimes very confronting. Considering these conditions, I can only admire what NICE has accomplished in such a short time. Hope the initiative will spread out to other countries as well.

An eye-opening experience whereby internet, being a source of information and a tool for communication, has inspired so many and has resulted in a community on its own. A community like NICE which has opened doors for many Gambians.

The Gambian trip showed that the Gambian people are interested in ways to access information. In the kuntaur region this was especially horticultural / agricultural information. The customers of NICE are using the internet to access information which is of their interest. I experienced that this was mainly to get and stay in contact with people. The next step is using this information to improve their professional skills. The way NICE is stimulating this was impressive !!

First and foremost: many thanks for the unforgettable experience in the Gambia. The trip was beautifull and horrific at the same time Gambia's beauty was abundently clear and I enjoyed it very much. I now understand why they call it the smiling coast!
It allowed me to slow down for the first time in a vey long time. I also saw Gambia's other side: the cruelty of fate. It allowed me to rethink and revalue what I have and what's worth fighting for. In the aftermath of the journey I am now working on ordering my memories. One of the things that comes to mind is the good work NICE is doing, esspecially with the young generations, my utmost respect for that.
