The foundation of the NICE-concept is a solar energy system. In addition to the environmental benefits of using solar, the system has other benefits. The batteries provide a back-up in case of low energy production, and the system includes a stabilizer that guarantees a stable output to the equipment in the NICE Centres. And of course, the solar system allows NICE Centres to operate where there is no grid.
